This intermediate level class will expand on tanning with tannins covered in The Foundation class. We will explore clear tanning methods and techniques including tanning with fats (oil tanning), as well as more of my tips and tricks to get the quality of fish leather you desire.
*** This class is also a prerequisite for A Rainbow of Fish Skin Leather + Fish Skin Blues***
You are encouraged to work along side me in order to get the most out of the class.
NOTE: This class is THREE sessions and will be held virtually on Zoom. You will receive a link after you register. If you are new to Zoom, find out more here.

Registration Fee is a SLIDING SCALE for the THREE part class: Choose to pay ONE of the amounts in the drop down pricing menu. There are a set number of spaces available for each price point.
Fees are based on Alexis J. Cunningfolk’s The Sliding Scale: A Tool of Economic Justice.
The sliding scale is a tool that allows for a product or service to be obtained at multiple price points based on the circumstances of the purchaser. This method allows folks who would most likely be priced out of something to have the chance to take part in it. It also seeks to address the systemic inequalities of class in our culture.
