Discover how to make a beautiful range of BLUE (and GREEN) fish skin leather using an organic indigo vat. In this 3 part advanced class you will learn the ways of preparing indigo vats and my tried and true methods of achieving fish leather in gorgeous shades of blues and greens - some of the most challenging yet rewarding colours to achieve from nature.
You are encouraged to work along with me to ensure the best learning experience!
An optional Fish Skin Blues Supply Kit is available for purchase in advance and will be mailed to you, or you may assemble your own based on the supply list provided.
STUDENTS OUTSIDE OF CANADA: There may be considerable shipping costs. You are encouraged to purchase your supplies through Maiwa.com. Please contact me for guidance on this.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
PLEASE READ THIS NOTE ABOUT REGISTRATION:
Registration Fee is a SLIDING SCALE. Choose the rate that fits your financial situation.
Indigenous folx are welcome to contact me for a full scholarship code.
Please be mindful that if you purchase a price at the lowest end of the scale when you can truthfully afford the higher ticket prices, you are limiting access to those who truly need the gift of financial flexibility. Teaching is also my sole income and livelihood. Thank you for supporting the work I do!
Based on Alexis J. Cunningfolk’s The Sliding Scale: A Tool of Economic Justice.
The sliding scale is a tool that allows for a product or service to be obtained at multiple price points based on the circumstances of the purchaser. This method allows folks who would most likely be priced out of something to have the chance to take part in it. It also seeks to address the systemic inequalities of class in our culture.
Read more about it here to determine where you fit on the scale.
