6PM | Fish Skin BLUES | October 5 + 7 + 10, 2024 | 6pm Pacific Time | Virtual Class

Discover how to make a beautiful range of BLUE (and GREEN) fish skin leather using natural indigo! In this 3 part intermediate/advanced class you will learn the ways of preparing indigo vats to dye fish skins gorgeous shades of blues - one of the most challenging yet rewarding colours to achieve from nature.

An optional Indigo Dye Kit is available for purchase in advance and will be mailed to you, or you may assemble your own based on the supply list provided.

IMPORTANT DETAILS:

This class is THREE sessions and will be held virtually on Zoom. A supply list will be emailed within 48 hours after registration. Please be sure to add janeysea@gmail.com to your safe email list.

Classes will be 1-3 hours in length depending on questions and pace

Pre-requisites: Fish Skin Tanning: The Foundation + The Next Level Classes or the newly offered The Foundation + Beyond. A Rainbow of Fish Leather is recommended but not a pre-requisite.

This method allows folks who would most likely be priced out of something to have the chance to take part in it. It also seeks to address the systemic inequalities of class in our culture.
